About PDX Law GroupDavid Richardson, President/Founder: A graduate of Lewis and Clark Law School by way of Kansas State University, David Richardson is a licensed member of the Oregon and Washington Bar Associations, the US District Court for Oregon and Western Washington, and the District of Oregon and Western Washington Bankruptcy Courts. David began his legal career working as in-house counsel with a real estate development and finance company before co-founding Schwindt Richardson LLC in 2007.
As a partner at Schwindt Richardson, David broadened his practice to include Consumer/Debtor Law with an emphasis on distressed properties. He and his team have obtained over 500 loan modifications for their clients since 2009 and have filed as many bankruptcies.
He left Schwindt Richardson in August of 2012 to found PDX Law Group P.C. and is very excited for the opportunity to continue growing both his practice and his client base. In his downtime David enjoys backpacking, rafting, skiing, tennis, travelling, and is an avid Trail Blazers fan. He lives with his family in a home they built in SE Portland and loves his adopted home in the Pacific Northwest.
Stanton Crane Shelby: Stanton Shelby is a graduate of the University of Kansas and Lewis and Clark Law School. Stanton is a licensed member of the Oregon State Bar Association and the Washington State Bar Association. During law school, Stanton interned for Multnomah Defenders Inc., one of the largest criminal defense firms in Oregon. After a stint clerking at the Multnomah County Circuit Court, Stanton began his legal career at Karpstein & Verhulst P.C., a small firm specializing in criminal defense and juvenile court matters in Washington County, Oregon.
Stanton’s practice areas have grown to include family law matters such as divorce, child support, child custody, and grandparents’ rights; prosecution and defense of restraining orders; probation violation hearings; probate court guardianships; landlord tenant law; foreclosure-related property transactions; and HOA/COA disputes.
